This book came in hot and took me by surprise in the most amazing way. It was dark, mysterious and sexy in an forbidden way.

Sterling Sparrow is the male character I never knew I was yearning to read. I honestly don’t know what his next, move, word or touch is going to be, keeping me thoroughly entrenched in this story.

Araneae McCrie is the perfect mix of vulnerable, sexy and spice! Her past is a mystery she’s trying to figure out but to do that she needs Sterling and he makes nothing easy!

This book is impeccably executed, keeping you guessing, reading and honestly not knowing what the next twist will be. Author Aleatha Romig has the beginning of an outstanding series in her hands!!!

As this is not a stand alone novel I personally don’t want to give away any spoilers but trust me it’s a 5 star must read.

The bomber said he could see everything. If Bo approached her, he’d blow everything with a touch of a button. No trying to diffuse the bomb. If Bo didn’t kill her before the time ran out, the bomb would explode. As soon as she was dead, he’d disarm the bomb with a touch of a button. Everyone else would live.
One little button held all the control.

“Do it.”

“Goddamnit, sweetheart, I’m not killing you!”

“Sweetheart?”

Bo’s eyes filled with pain, even more than before, as he dropped to the ground on his knees. “What you said earlier…I know you meant it. But, Bella blue, I love you. I’m sorry I screwed everything up. I’m sorry for everything.” His eyes said he wanted to come closer and pull her into his arms. “If that bomb explodes, we die together. What I’m not going to do is kill you. I. Am. Not. Killing. You. Got it?”

“People will die, Bo. There’s no way—”

“Tell me you love me.”

Her eyes filled with tears. She did love him. So damn much her heart wanted to explode from the amount of love she held for him. Which was why she had to end things before their love tore them apart.

“Tell me…”

She glanced at the timer.

10:01…10:00…9:59…

Less than ten minutes to live.

Why would someone do this? To her? To them? What did she do to deserve this?

“You don’t lo—”

“I love you!” The pain in his voice gutted her. She almost fell over from the agony. “I forgive you. For everything. Now, pick up your weapon and kill me.”

Lord have mercy, this book had me laughing, cringing and smiling in triumph as the characters in this book took me on a ride that only Amanda Siegrist could write.

One Taste of You follows characters Zoe and Zeke on an adventure of insta lust, mystery and groveling. Zeke is a sexy idiot who makes the mistake of a lifetime when he mistakes Zoe for a prostitute…. After he sleeps with her !!!! Zeke has a hell of a time coming back from that but a series of mysterious events lead him back to Zoe and soon insta lust turns to insta love.

I wont give away too much in this quick but highly entertaining read but what I will say is that when it comes to insta love Amanda is the Queen!! Must read: 4 Stars

Author Amanda Siegrist is truly the Queen of insta love and really excels in evolving a story to where you don’t feel like you really read and insta love kind of novel .

Detective Ben Stoyer has been pining for Rina Chastain for way to long, until one day he gathers the courage to ask her out only to be politely turned down. Rina has her reasons for turning good guy Ben down but it doesn’t deter him from wanting to protect Rina when a series of murders happens bringing them closer to each other causing sparks to fly. Much like the first book in the series, One Taste of Love offers laughs, mystery and a love that will leave you swooning.

As always Amanda knocks another book out of the park. 4 stars !!!

When I review I usually leave my rating for the end but due to this being a mixed review I’m going to let you know I give this book 5 stars… So please stick with me all the way through the end.

I feel like I had a love/hate relationship with this book. It took zero time for me to be hooked on it. ZERO. There were times while reading One, that I had to physically put the book down, hug my child, take a minute and return to the book. When writing can effect you so deeply that it takes up emotional residence in your mind, then it has to have been done right. I rarely give a 5 star rating and to be honest I struggled with rating this book as such, but to give it any other rating would have been a severe injustice to Ms. Blythe and her clear talent for detail and story telling.

Annabelle Englewood has just had her whole family murdered, and she is being blamed. She’s devastated, in shock and angry as hell. I don’t know that Annabelle’s character could have been written any better. She’s a beautiful broken soul, who is beyond damaged yet highly insightful and very aware of her own limitations. Her fear has a way of gripping you as the reader and making you feel fear for her. Detective Xavier Montague has made the mistake of the century by accusing a victim of murder, there isn’t much you can say in the way of an apology but you can promise the almost impossible by promising to catch your families murderer and your tormentor. Xavier is a very determined and thorough detective who spends more time invested in work than he does life. With the help of his partner Detective Kate Hannah, Xavier is able to work through his growing feelings for Annabelle and the current case of a serial killer on the loose.

This book isn’t a HEA romance so if that’s what you’re looking for then this isn’t the book for you. But if you’re looking for a book that is gripping and terrifying and leaves your soul reaching for more thrilling action then this is definitely for you. I will use the word romance loosely because it’s there but it doesn’t take center stage to the plot. This book hits on some very, very hard topics for me personally. This is where the hate comes into my love/hate relationship for this book. There is a bit of a spoiler coming up but I promise its only a small, small spoiler. This book features rape in a few instances and to me rape should never be used for entertainment value… EVER…. Yes, I’m very aware that rape is a common occurrence in life but to me its a trauma thru and thru and to read about it when I’m reading for entertainment value makes me feel disgusting, the same can be said for murder which I understand but I promised to give my honest opinion and this is it. So that is where I struggled and if this is a point of sensitivity for you then maybe you should think twice before reading. Even with that being said this book absolutely earned 5 stars through its indepth plot, multi dimensional characters and the authors uncanny way of putting words on paper and turning it into an emotional experience.

Escaping Memories is made up of tragedy, suspense, romance, trust and faith that the past and the present will finally meet one day. Author Amanda Siegrist wrote a book with such a myriad of emotions that it kept me fully engrained in this novel of suspense and love.

I will be honest that when I first started reading, it took me a few pages to really get into to plot of the book but before I knew it I was hooked and going on this journey of “Who Done It.”

Ok people, usually I give an in depth review of the characters because that’s what personally draws me into reading a book. But this time I’m going to leave you hanging somewhat. I feel if I was to truly tell you about our mystery girl it would give much of the storyline away and ruin the book. So much of this book revolves around our girl of mystery and her MIA memory, so please trust me when I say she is a well thought out character that comes to the table with heart, soul and a bad case of who the hell am I. Now Sheriff Logan Caldwell is a different story, I can talk about him all day long he’s quite the opposite of our mystery girl. He’s personally having a hellacious week if you ask me, but that doesn’t stop him from being compassionate or our mystery girls proverbial knight in shining armor. He’s passionate about his job but he’s even more passionate about people ,and his caring manner comes out in such a way that you see how he effects a number of characters throughout the book. Logan is such a selfless character that it had me sitting on the edge of my seat and asking myself how much is he willing to lose for the greater good. Thanks for the several mini heart attacks Ms.Amanda Siegrist.

I could’ve done without them but I’m better for enduring the momentary pain and trudging along in this suspensefully written book that left me wondering what was going to happen next.

Ohhh I almost forgot about the romance…. Yes! This book has that too! No ! I wont be going into detail about that either ! Just know I’m saving the book for you people, its all about the element of surprise and keeping the plot a mystery. There is angst, suspense, romance, sex and a whole lot of unanswered questions that will keep you turning the pages in this novel that ask “Who is our mystery girl and what did she leave behind?”

I give this book a 4 star rating.
