Review:
Mila is a survivor in the twisted game of life. When it seems life has run out of curve balls to throw, it goes and throws another one. Mila’s character is exactly what I would expect of someone who has been dealt a harsh hand from life and that’s was the first thing I loved about this book. The way her character progresses through the story is another aspect that I loved, she never went from heartbroken to ok in the flip of one page. Which my loyal followers know I despise!!There was real substance to this story which made this bloggers heart smile.
The story primarily takes place in Hawaii and let me just say that I felt like I was there taking in the scenery, tasting the food and smelling that island smell. The bold and bright detail of every Hawaiian adventure was so beautifully told that it made me want to jump on a plane straight to paradise. Just trust me that once you start reading you will find yourself mentally traveling to the island life. Don’t blame me, blame the author and her talented ability to take us there.
I know this review doesn’t read like my others but I find myself reviewing in the order of the things I loved the most. That being said, I absolutely loved our hero Gage. Gage was the remedy for Mila’s broken heart but he was always happy being with her and never pushing her. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a total sap and love me some insta-love, but I loved this couples progression. Now like most men Gage had a moment that made me want to strangle him but things aren’t always what they seem and alas I still loved his character in the end.
Yes, this book is a sweet romance but its also a story about growth and grieving and learning to forgive. It will definitely take your emotions on a rollercoaster ride but all the best books do.
Now to be honest I had never heard of this author so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but from the bottom of my picky little book reviewing heart I loved her style of writing and the way I was able to lose myself in this story. I didn’t want to put the book down and for that I’m giving Finding Paradise 4 stars. I highly recommend this book !!
